1. Press the button to activate the laser pointer.
   
2. Move the laser dot across floors, walls, furniture or cat trees to encourage stalking, chasing and pouncing.
   
3. Vary the speed and direction to keep play sessions engaging.
   
4. Keep sessions short and fun, usually 5–15 minutes at a time.
   
5. End each session by directing the laser onto a physical toy or treat so your cat can successfully "catch" its target.
   
6. Switch off the laser after use and store it out of reach of children.
